Method of Application
1 SURFACE PREPARATION

All substrates must be sound, stable and free of dust, dirt, oil and any other contaminants which may impair adhesion.                          Any spalled or damaged concrete, cracks and other surface defects must be repaired using a suitable Dr.Ficit Repair material.                All penetrations through the roof such as pipework or ducting must be sealed using a suitable approved sealant or expanding foam filler.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      All cracks, corner joints, intersections, floor and wall junctions, overlaps and J hooks in metal roofs must be reinforced using a suitable reinforcing fabric set into first coat of Dr.Fixit Unithane HB.

2 PRIMING

Sound surface generally does not require priming, however highly absorbent and porous substrates should be primed using one coat of Dr.Fixit Unithane HB mixed with water in ratio 1:1 and applied at 4-5 m²/kg. The prime coat should be allowed to dry for a minimum of 4 – 5 hours before subsequent coating.

3 APPLICATION

Stir well before application and usage, to a homogeneous consistency. A slow speed drill and suitable paddle mixer shall be used to avoid the formation of air bubbles.                                                                                                                                                                               Apply Dr.Fixit Unithane HB at a coverage of 1 kg² with suitable roller, brush or airless spray to achieve 750 microns WFT (Wet film thickness). Unithane HB Waterproofing of wet areas like bathrooms, showers etc. ROOFS & WALL COATING
Allow first coat to dry for 6 – 8 hours prior to second coat depending upon the temperature and humidity. }} Apply second coat of Dr.Fixit Unithane HB which should be applied similarly as fisrt coat in perpendicular direction of first coat to achieve final DFT of 650 – 700 microns DFT (Dry Film Thickness).
